Technical Requirements

1. Internet connection:

Minimum Requirement	Recommended
Broadband connection with a consistent minimum download speed of around 2 Mbps.	Broadband connection with a consistent speed of around 4Mbps

3. Web Browser Settings

You will need to have the following settings enabled on your web browser:

Browser Settings	Notes
Enable cookies	Required to keep track of your login session
Enable Javascript	Required if you wish to use the drag-and-drop file upload functionality.
Enable pop-ups	To improve your experience we use pop-up windows in particular areas of our site. Please consult the instructions for your browser to enable pop-ups.
Browser setting instructions can be found by clicking on the following links: Google Chrome* Mozilla Firefox Microsoft Edge: Apple Safari Note: In most browsers, you can make an exception if you don't want to use these settings for all websites.

4. Activities

The courses on PLUS contain a number of different activities. On commencing these activities you may find that you require additional software tools. These are outlined below.

Activity	Requirement
Notes	The course notes are given in PDF format. To view PDF files, you will need a PDF reader installed on your computer. Adobe Reader is free to download and includes a browser plugin allowing you to view the PDF through your web browser.
Videos	Most of our videos are hosted on our server in MP4 format an are playable in most up to date web browsers. In some cases we may use YouTube to embed a video on a page. Please see the recommendations given by YouTube We understand that some companies may have blocked access to YouTube from within their premises. If this applies to you and there are YouTube videos on your course which you cannot access, please contact us for an alternative at admin@polaris-learning.com
Assessments	Some courses require the submission of documentation as part of an assessment. In order for us to view these documents we ask that you submit in the following file formats only: .pdf, .docx, .rtf, .txt. , .xlsx, .odt , .pptx. Please note that apple does not currently support file uploads through ipad safari directly to website forms. However, you can upload documents directly to google drive via the Google Drive app and insert a link to this document within a website form.
Lessons, Excercises & others	Some of our courses may contain interactive media, audio files or video.
